Dear Constituents:

Thank you for giving me the honor to serve you in the Michigan State Senate. As the State Senator for the 8th District, I consider myself an advocate for you on all state-related matters.

Whether you have a problem with a state agency, would like information about state laws or bills pending in the Legislature, or have any other inquires related to state government, my office is available to serve you. My staff will provide you with the necessary information, direct you to the proper agency representatives, troubleshoot and also guide you through various procedures.

As your State Senator, I am also committed to improving the quality of life for you and all of the residents of our communities. My legislative priorities include:

• Protecting our environment, first and foremost, by stopping the proposed commercial hazardous waste disposal well in Romulus;
  
• Fighting to improve and preserve public education beginning with smaller class sizes;
  
• Improving the care and services provided in Michigan's nursing homes; and
  
• Working for railroad grade separation funding to address serious problems with blocked crossings in our communities.
